Simple Plan has spent the last year channeling their energy, positivity and, yes, sometimes frustration, into their music. And no matter how you want to label their music, the 11 songs on the band’s highly anticipated second album, Still Not Getting Any… proves that SP are not a punk band, a pop band, a rock band or whatever label you can come up with… they are just a great band… a band that strives to write great songs and put on a hell of a show!

Admittedly, a lot has happened since the Montreal, Canada band—vocalist Pierre Bouvier, drummer Chuck Comeau, bassist David Desrosiers and guitarists Sebastien Lefebvre and Jeff Stinco—released No Pads, No Helmets, Just Balls… in the spring of 2002. Aside from selling a couple of million albums, the group have shared the stage with everyone from Rancid to Aerosmith and have made appearances on the Vans Warped Tour for three years running (two as Headliners).

Simple Plan continues to receive accolades for their current album including winning the trophy for Choice Rock Group at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards. The band was also nominated for three Juno Awards including Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Group of the Year. In addition, Simple Plan were honored in 2003 and 2004 with MuchMusic People's Choice Awards, for Favorite Pop Act at the 2005 MTV Asia Awards, and a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.

Vancouver pop-rock band Hedley, fronted by Canadian Idol finalist Jacob Hoggard is set to hit the Road with Simple Plan on their coast to coast Canadian Tour.

After making it to third place in the 2004 Canadian Idol finals, Jacob had himself voted off by his own fans. He originally tried out for the show on a dare and when it became apparent that he might actually win, he asked his fans not to vote for him, as he preferred to pursue a career as the front man of his own band Hedley.
