PRESS RELEASE

Rod Stewart performs in Victoria, March 26, 2005

RG Properties today announced that Rod Stewart will perform in the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on March 26, 2005.

Over the past three years, Rod Stewart, a legendarily soulful Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, has made musical history interpreting standards from the great American Songbook. In the process, Stewart has managed to make some of the most enduring and romantic compositions ever written his own. Stewart’s first two Grammy-nominated collections of standards -- 2002’s It Had To Be You. . .The Great American Songbook and 2003’s As Time Goes By. . .The Great American Songbook, Volume II -- have already sold over ten million copies and brought this veteran superstar to a new and even larger audience of all ages. Now with the much anticipated release of Stardust. . .The Great American Songbook: Volume III, the story continues with his strongest set of standards yet.

Rod Stewart’s performance marks the return of “big name” entertainment to the city. “Victoria experienced a dry-spell when the technology and audience capacity of the former Memorial Arena could no longer accommodate state-of-the-art concert tours”, said Ken Noakes, Director of Sales and Marketing for SOFMC. “We’re developing a great concert line-up for the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre and Vancouver Island audiences can look forward to at least 30 years of terrific entertainment in this facility.”
