FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TUESDAY JANUARY 31, 2006
PRESS RELEASE
ROB THOMAS
with special guest Anna Nalick
Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre
Thursday, March 30th, 2006
7:30PM (doors 6:30PM)
Over the last nine years, Rob
Thomas has emerged as one
of the most exciting talents in
contemporary music. Whether as
frontman for modern rock band
Matchbox 20 (25 million copies
sold world-wide) or through
collaborations with artists as
diverse as Santana, Willie
Nelson and Mick Jagger, Rob
has demonstrated a singular
songwriting talent, a supple
vocal ability and an ability to
connect with a mass audience
like no one else. With all his
projects combined, he has helped
sell over 75 million records and
earned numerous awards,
including Billboard’s Songwriter
of the Year two years in a row.
On his bestselling and
critically acclaimed 2005 debut
solo album …Something to Be,
which has been nominated for two
Grammy Awards (Best Male Pop
Vocal Performance for “Lonely No
More” and Best Solo Rock Vocal
Performance for “This is How a
Heart Breaks”), Rob lets
loose on styles ranging from
modern R&B to vintage prog-rock.
He recently finished a very
successful North American tour
and is about to embark on
another.
Beside his immensely successful
recording career, Rob is
a dedicated and tireless
performer whose Sidewalk Angels
Foundation works with charities
to help people who’ve been lost
in the system, who are poor and
destitute, and animals that have
been abandoned or abused.
Don’t miss your chance to see
Rob Thomas live in
Victoria at the Save-On Foods
Memorial Centre on Thursday,
March 30th with special guest
Anna Nalick.
